Vox Pops On Tour: State Of The Nation State Of The Nation

Our crews spent February and March 2010 going around the UK to find out how the general public think and feel.

We filmed and interviewed 150 people, representing a wide cross-section of people in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Hertford, Liverpool, London, Newcastle, Nottingham and Southampton.

We asked them the following:

1. What is your general attitude towards life in this new decade - what are your hopes and fears?
2. What do you think society will be like in 2020? Why?
3. Out of the following, which of these do you send most time on at home and why?

4. How do you feel towards banks now in 2010? Tell me about this
5. How are you planning to spend your money this year compared to 2009? Why?
6. How much research do you tend to do before buying something? Tell me about this

To purchase individual clips for editing purposes:

OPTION 3 - Workshop/Mini Conference

We are looking to run mini-conferences, featuring findings from this unique video survey in June 2010. Dates and locations to be confirmed. Please indicate if this is of interest. The cost will be £55 per person.

Going Forward

News International, RBS, Which? and Walker Media have all benefited from being involved at the beginning of this study. They now have video footage of 150 respondents answering their bespoke questions. They will use the video clips and insights in presentations, for training and other general research purposes. As this video study was syndicated the costs involved were far less than when commissioning a tailormade project.

We are planning to repeat this video survey in August and if you’d like to be involved please fill in this form.
