Cvent: Connect Europe Event Coverage

Cvent needed complete end-to-end video production coverage at their annual 3-day european conference, Cvent Connect Europe. As well as creating the typical day-by-day event highlight videos which we often do, they also wanted us to create a wide variety of other content to shout about their industry leading services. It’s not often they have so many of their customers all in one place and so they wanted to maximise on this opportunity with video content involving them!

With a lot of moving parts and simultaneous talks and moments to be filmed, this ended up being out biggest production to date, with a crew totalling 15 including; a mixture of editors, camera operators, interviews, Producers, DIT’s and runners.

The Challenges

As the majority of content was to be filmed and edited on-location during the 3-day event, pre-production was key. We worked with Cvent to understand the video needs of each output, to tailor crewing and equipment needs. The output requirements:
  • To film and edit 3 highlight videos to be pushed out on socials after each day of the event
  • To film and edit 16 exhibitor interviews to be pushed out on their app during the event
  • To edit 50+ presentations during the event, so that these can also be enjoyed at home
  • To film and edit over 30 testimonial videos from a number of customers which they could utilise at a later date.
Working with Cvent, we were able to prep the editors with schedules and branding assets before the event. We were also able to obtain schedules of performances, keynote speakers, interview slots and times of other special moments so the camera operators knew exactly where to be and when, so they could plan out their shots in advance.

The Result

The result gave Cvent the best opportunity to shout about their event to those attending, whether that be the full thing, a single day or virtually. It also gave them a wealth of content to use throughout the year, right up to their next year’s event and beyond.
