Cvent is a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider with nearly 4,000 employees and more than 23,000 customers worldwide. Founded in 1999, the company delivers the most comprehensive event marketing and management platform and offers a global marketplace where event professionals collaborate with venues to create unmatched experiences. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cvent continued to work closely with its customers and worked through their challenges alongside them; giving them the tools and support they needed to keep their businesses running. One of those customers was leading global hospitality group, Accor. As long-time Cvent customers and partners, the Cvent team was looking to create new testimonial content to showcase the benefits of their solutions and highlight how Accor leveraged Cvent solutions to deliver successful business outcomes.

The brief; to conduct on-location filming in Paris to promote the success story of their partnership with Accor.

Our Approach

For filming to be safely conducted during the pandemic, it was critical that all participants strictly adhered to current health and safety guidelines & procedures, especially when international travel could be part of the filming process. As the first step, we outlined our COVID-19 filming on-location policy which in summary includes; utilising minimal and essential only crew, masks to be worn at all times, social distancing to be adhered to, COVID test taken by all crew 1 day before the shoot and so forth.

The second step was to confirm the filming space, which would need to be big enough for appropriate social distancing for our two-person crew, equipment and also the two colleagues from Accor who were set to be interviewed. On this occasion we were able to utilise one of their large and well-ventilated meeting rooms in the center of Paris, having confirmed with plentiful photos, rather than conducting a recce in person.

Third was to assemble the appropriate crew. As border lockdowns by the UK government meant that we couldn’t conduct this ourselves as normal, we worked with our regular international partners for ease and confidence. Although the interviews were set to be conducted in English, we still made sure to use our trusted French native interviewer to help put the Accor colleagues at ease even further.

The Result

The video output includes two engaging videos focused on the Cvent CRM integration and Leisure RFP, which have been used as a case study of their own on Cvent’s website. These videos showcase the benefits of Cvent’s solutions in a wonderfully filmed, short, digestible video that has since been leveraged for various marketing efforts including in email marketing, social media, and more.

Our COVID-19 appropriate response meant that we were still able to film during the COVID crisis, while keeping our crew and clients safe and providing the quality video production and services that we’re known for.
