Depth Interviews

Popular Styles Of Depth Interviews

Segmentation

Segmentation

We pre-recruit respondents that represent a specific segment. We spend time with them and interview them using an agreed topic guide to extract information particular to their segment type. We also film contextualising B Roll to illustrate what was said within their homes and ‘out and about’. At the editing stage, we also add graphics and data, all to bring segments to life for everyone in a company.

Expert Voices

Expert Voices

We interview experts on numerous topics. Be it finance, internal issues, the research industry, marketing gurus, or politicians. We organise and produce the shoot, including a topic guide and shot guide, and then edit the footage to cover the client’s objectives. We do the shoots on location, in offices, or even online. We recruit as and when required as well.

Day in the Life

Day in the Life

Day in the Life filming is when we spend extended time with someone and follow them around for a day or two. Perfect when wanting to bring people to life, from consumers to individuals within an organisation. They talk to us as they spend their time, and we capture everything, including B Roll. Their dialogue becomes the soundtrack for the video, creating a fantastic and engaging training tool or customer immersion film.

Documentary

When a client requires content that goes even further, this style is perfect to help tell the story you need. We will recruit when needed, set up the shoot, shot guide, topic guides and organise all logistical needs. Editing is too a streamlined process, using the interview material as a soundtrack to the video alongside B roll.

International Depths

International Depths

Through our international network, we’ve conducted set-up interviews in every corner of the globe, including India, Nigeria, the Philippines, the USA, South Africa, Brazil, France, Germany, and many others. We coordinate everything, including recruitment, shot guides, topic guides, translations, and subtitling. Examples include – The Muslim Consumer film for Unilever, FWD, World Gold Council, Tear Drop in India, and Water in Nigeria.

Gogglebox Style

Gogglebox Style

These are conducted in consumers’ homes and filmed and edited in a Gogglebox style. We recruit the respondents, set up the shoots, and create a topic and shot guide. It is a free-flowing shoot with the respondents mainly talking among themselves rather than being too formatted.
